Bird Outing – March 8th – Kettle Cove and Dyer Point (Two Lights), Cape Elizabeth. Carol Beyna will seek Arctic sea birds drawn to warmer temps of Maine’s coast. Meet at church Sat 3/8 at 1pm, or if bad weather, Sun 3/9. Bring binoculars. FMI Carol 829-5082.

Climate Change, Social Equity and Economic Opportunity – March 11th, Thorne Dining Hall, Bowdoin College, 7-10:30am. Keynote speaker Steve Curwood, host of NPR’s Living on Earth. $35 includes hearty breakfast. http://www.ceimaine.org

Toxic Hot Seat Film – March 29th – Space Gallery 538 Congress St Portland, 7:30pm Documentary about toxic flame retardants: 3 brave citizens’ personal stories in the fight for truth: cancer-surviving firefighter, renowned chemist whose 1970s work helped remove fire retardants from kids’ pajamas, and determined Maine mom and legislator.
