We have a great team of fourteen folks who have signed up to volunteer their time and abilities in home repair and weatherization for people in Washington County with meager resources. We will work through the Maine Seacoast Mission Society, active along the coast and islands for nearly 100 years. Building skills of all levels are welcome– ages 15 and up, and we can add a few more to the group so speak up if you are interested to Jim Thomas jht@maine.rr.com or Diane. There is a dorm style facility for overnight, where we’ll prepare our own meals. The cost per person is $200– which includes a $150. donation to cover the cost of building supplies and materials. This is where you can help! This is a mission of the church, so if you aren’t able to go, you can support the trip financially. Donations toward these expenses (particularly to aid the teenage members of the Team who will be taking time away from summer jobs to give to others) will be accepted. Put cash in an envelope marked “mission trip” or write a check, noting “mission trip” and get the donations to the church as soon as you can so the Team knows of your support. Thanks very much!!
