GreenFaith Update:
The Let’s Go Green Team has met a few times, during our “Getting Started Webinar” in January and as subcommittees for Spirit/Worship, Stewardship, and Environmental Justice. We’ve completed audits for all three to assess what we’ve already accomplished, and we will be working on an action plan and mission statement to guide future steps. We seek your input for our mission statement, and ask you to consider these questions:
- Why do you feel called to care for creation?
- In what ways should CCCUCC care for creation?
- How would you describe the reasons that you support our church in becoming a religious-environmental leader?
Our next webinar, “Biblical and Theological Foundations” will take place on Monday, March 7th at 8:00pm. The leader, Rev Fletcher Harper, is GreenFaith’s Executive Director and an inspiring man. Diane and our Green Team will gather in the office at church. All are welcome!
